  Super delicious locally sourced food. All menu items written on the black board. Friendly and helpful staff. Reservations recommended (it's a small space). Don't forget dessert - they own the chocolate shop next door and the desserts are wonderful.

  My girlfriend was able to get us a reservation last night for my birthday. I was surprised that she was able to call the same day and there would be any availability but after dining at Louisa's last night I can see why. I ordered the Salmon and my GF had the Scallops. My Salmon was thin, overcooked and served with a very bland sauce on the side. It was served over dry flavorless cous cous and equally unappealing cole slaw. My GF'd Scallops were butterflied so it looked as if you received more than you actually got and they were served over the exact same cous cous and coleslaw. The Scallops were served with a soy sauce that tasted as if it was straight out of a bottle. The other entrees we saw at tables adjacent to us were all served over the same bland sides. Not much imagination from the chef. We were extremely disappointed and will never return and certainly when asked where to eat in Cape May will steer people away from this restaurant that obviously must be surviving on a past reputation. But not for long if the food quality and limited creativeness does not improve greatly!
  We live in Cape May and there so many great restaurants in this town but Louisa's is not one of them!
